Born
in Rosario, Argentina. He is ÒLicenciate in Music at the
Rosario National UniversityÓ and, has been a Classical Guitar
professor there from 1991 to 2003. He studied with J.C.Zemp
and I.Panero, and E.Isaac, V.Villadango W.Heinze, J..Zarate,
J.L.Rodrigo, M.Nobre, P.Bellinati in their masterclasses.
Leonardo Bravo won 1st prize in ÒRosario Guitar Association
Competition (1987)", 1st prize in ÒClassical Guitar
CompetitionÓ Mosarteum Santa Fe (1989), 1st prize in ÒClassical
Guitar CompetitionÓ C.G.A Bs As (1991)", 1st prize
in ÒChamber Music ContestÓ Fundacion Antorchas(1994), 2nd
prize in ÒSan Lorenzo Classical Guitar Contest (1994)",
1st prize in "Classical Guitar ContestÓ U.N.R Argentina
(1995), 1st prize in ÒGuitar Contest Scholarship XVI Guitar
international SeminaryÓ Brasil (1995), and 2nd prize ÒComposition
and performance of Argentine music Contest" (2003)
. He was awarded as ÒBest Guitarist of the yearÓ C.G.A Bs
As" (1994).
He has given concerts and masterclasses in Chile, Brazil,
Spain, Italy, United States, Canada, Argentina and Japan
with a repertoire developed from classical music to Argentinean
popular music, like as Tango and Folkore. His debut recital
in Japan (2004/Fukuoka) was grate success and highly praised.
Leonardo Bravo has recorded numerous CDs as soloist,
as an artistic director, and as arranger for Guitar duo,
for Guitar and Voice, and for traditional folk music group.
From 2004 he moved to Fukuoka-city, Japan. Hi is Argentinean
Music Professor at ÒTiempo IberoamericanoÓ Latin Cultural
Center, and Classical Guitar Professor. At ÒForest Hill
Music AcademyÓ .
